Prague update
Hello
This has been a very interesting couple of days in Prague so
far. I have just finished judging 350 dogs over my jumping course. I had 99
small dogs in my final class of the day and about 50 medium. The rest were all
large, around 200.
I arrived on Friday evening at Prague having flown my usual
route out of Birmingham and via Amsterdam. However, my joy at arriving in plus
25 degree’s and hot sunshine was short-lived when it was discovered that my bag
containing everything I had packed had not made my connection and was still in
Amsterdam.
KLM told me that there was a good chance I would get the bag
that evening, and in the worst case scenario by the Saturday morning. This was
not ideal but I was happy to go with it as I didn’t really have much choice!
I then went to the agility venue with was in Kemp Lavka Skochovice.
I am staying in a room which is part of the venue. There is not much here as
far as facilities but I do have internet and a basic bathroom. (this proved
very useful to wash a pair of boxers in!) I also managed to blag some ladies
shampoo from someone at the show which proved useful. (My hair has never felt
so good.. haha!)
So come Saturday morning, with only my hand luggage
(containing my laptop!) and Friday’s clothes I was forced to go and acquire a
judging kit! My kit was to include a whistle, sun hat, sun glasses, shorts and
a clean T-shirt.
I had to judge all day in Friday’s boxers and borrowed
clothes. I was judging Agility class which formed part of the qualification for
the Czech National Team for the World Championships 2012. My course was challenging
and did DQ quite a few dogs and handlers, but some of the best runs were
excellent to watch.
Luckily there is a bar onsite which I have unlimited access
to (being a responsible judge!) which helped easy my pain after judging 350
dogs and taking a shower, just to put the same clothes back on again!
One of my friends here at the venue was calling KLM and
asking all day where my bag was. It eventually turned up at 8.30pm… almost 26
hours late! I was literally leaving to go to a supermarket to buy new stuff as
I was thoroughly annoyed by then at the poor service!
So Saturday night was A LOT cleaner and fresher, and today
(Sunday) I have been judging the jumping classes, again another 350 dogs. The
weather is hot and almost feels like there will be a storm. I have got a sun
tan I think.
Tomorrow I will do the first day of my two day training
seminar.
I hear it has been rather wet in England?!

Update, training and Sadie
Hello,
Been ages since I have written on here.
Here is a summary of what has happened since:
My final days in Luxembourg were super. We did some great
exercises on the last day and had a mock competition. I was really well looked
after at the week and enjoyed my time there very much.
Last week I was training a lot in rain. Huge amounts of
rain! The weather recently has been really bad. String wind, heavy rain and
limited sunshine.
We were due to go to Lincoln show for the whole weekend, but
in the end I went just for the EO selection day. Unfortunately I (despite no
Eliminations all day) finished 9th overall, and the top 8 were
taken.
The conditions were horrible. Mud, rain and hail stones.
Scott works a lot better on a true surface and on Saturday we had 2 runs with 5
faults due to poles or Scott slipping on the wet ground. I did manage a high
place in the jumping round though. I was disappointed not to be selected but
accept the decision in good sport.
This week again has been busy, lessons every day and again very
wet weather. Friday I fly to Prague and will judge for 2 days in the Czech capital,
before doing a 2 day seminar on Monday and Tuesday.
I have one other piece of news:
I have a new puppy (Probably the reason I have had no time
to write on here!) she is called Sadie and my Taddymoor Scott is her uncle. She
is out of Taddymoor Roy.
Enjoy the pics!

Update 10th April 2012
Hello,
Airborne again as I write this blog post. Currently 23000 feet above Europe heading to Luxemburg this time for 3 days of seminars before heading back Friday night.
Been a busy week or so since returning from Norway last week. I was judging at Tonsberg show. The course plans are already on my website www.leegibsontraining.com and click course plans.
Last week at home in Shropshire we had a belting of snow. This was actually predicted by the weather men but was unusual for the time of year. I loaded a couple of pictures up on to Facebook, for anyone who saw them will know how much we had. This meant training proved difficult, even getting to the indoor place was hard but I did a few lessons.
This weekend just gone was Easter weekend. Amongst eating a lot of Chocolate, and enjoying the lovely weather (cough!) I was running Scotty and Jack at TAG and Easter Celebration show.
Jack is 10 now and only does a few runs here and there, but he managed a 2nd in G7 jumping and also a 19th in the Olympia qualifier at Easter Celebration Saturday.
Scotty had a 2nd in G7 agility and that was about as good as it got. The rest of the runs were silly poles or handling mistakes by myself. Scott flies on the grass and I was a little off the pace I think.
Fast forward a few hours…
So now, I am finishing my blog after my first evening in Luxembourg. We have eaten at a super Sushi restaurant and I have also seen the super training venue. Tomorrow I will begin with the seminars. I am looking forward to it very much.

Thursday Exercise Plans - Tonsberg Norway
Hello, here are todays exercise and course plans. For my final session with the afternoon group I located a typical class one course from the internet and set it up so we could work through it together. You will see it is a course from Kees Stoel from a show in Warsaw, Poland. It made a good test for both my students and me as a trainer, using someone elses course and finding the best solutions for everyone.
This mornings course is also below:
