Hello,
Last Saturday I went up to Sheffield for a training day at North Derby Club. The day was a success and the weather was great also, which made it even better.
Key Points we looked at:

‘Contacts’
‘Waits’
‘Shaping into turns’

The last few days after Saturday I lost my lessons due to the snow, and was training in a snow storm this morning. However it does seem warmer now and a lot of rain, but at least I can drive in the rain unlike the bad weather!

Hello,

At last the snow has mostly gone and I have been able to train again. It seems like ages I was not doing anything!

This Saturday I am heading to North Derby for a training day, I am much looking forward to this and I hope that the weather stays nice, although we are indoors!
I have been filling up my Diary the last few days, with some judging and training abroad, the big UK shows and maybe even the odd football match! I have not been in so long.

Training is pretty much back to normal now, so anyone wishing to book a lesson please ring or email me.

Ribble show report

Hello,

All being well I am training for the first time this evening in Hereford, as long as we don’t get any more bad weather I may be able to train at home later this week, although that is still a slim chance judging by the foot deep snow still on the course yesterday!

Went to Ribble Sunday, it was an okay show, although Accrington was fairly damp! The dogs had not done any agility since rugby show in mid December, so a few mistakes were not a surprise.

Jack however did get a 9th place in the Olympia qualifier; I would have taken that at the beginning of the day. A top ten place is always what you need, however this year the rules have changed and now it is only the top five that qualify! Never mind.

Jack was also clear in the 7 jumping class, however I mistimed a pull through and cost us time.

Scott was working very well to be fair, considering no training. Only one pole in each class, both turning before a pipe tunnel, so I can practice that now... or when the snow finally melts!

Ribble Show Sunday

I am off to Ribble tomorrow, the dogs have not trained or done anything (except run off!) since Rugby Christmas show.. Not really expecting too much if I am honest!

Lets see if no training works as a tactic to do well!

Lots of snow still, and flooding on the roads, have to walk up to the van in the morning, that will be fun at 5am!

I will post how we do at the show.

These have been growing for weeks!

In places the snow has buried the fence. This drift across the track is taller than me!
Its hard to think that we actually drive up this track!

Snowed under..

Hello,

Nothing too much to report on the dog front at the moment, as we are surrounded by snow drifts that have now even stopped the land rover getting up and down the track.

We are totally snowed in, the local main roads are even in a bad way, meaning that even though my van is a mile away parked, I still cannot take it anywhere!
The drifts on our track are taller than me in one place, they will take ages to clear away. Am not sure about getting to the show at Ribble on Sunday yet, but hope I can figure out a way of getting my van to Shrewsbury and the main treated roads!

For now it is my dial up internet and maybe working out, I have got to do something productive I guess!
