Finland Seminar Plan 28th June

Hello,

Right now I am in the North West of Finland, at the Agirotu 2012. I flew here last night from Manchester and changed at Helsinki.

I will be teaching this afternoon on a training course for handling. Below is the course plan.

Tomorrow I will be judging, and also Saturday and Sunday. I am staying in a nice hotel but it was quite hard to sleep last night because it was so light outside!

I will update back with how the seminar went this afternoon. Currently it is raining outside so I better take my rain coat!

Scotts agility win video & update

Hello

Below is Scotts win from Hinckley show. We have now qualified for the second day semi final for Olympia which is a relief having missed out on day one, mostly due to not being here to run in all but 2 if the heats.

I had a good weekend at Hinckley, Scott made the Championship final despite ranking on 39th place after round one due to 1 pole and a refusal in the agility round. I was angry at myself for some less than clever handing, and vowed to put it right in the jumping round, which we did. Scott did a cracking round finishing 3rd. This was enough to haul me back to 15th place overall meaning we made the final.

In the final we had hard luck, taking the second pole down on a ‘go around’ which put us out of the running.

However we redeemed ourselves on Sunday, with Scott winning with a super round in the Agility stakes class, judged by Anthony Clarke who also won the Championship on Saturday. Congratulations to them.

This week I am training quite a few lessons on Tuesday, before the rest of the week becomes quieter ready for Thames next weekend. Always a great show for social as well as agility.

A big well done to Wendy Williams and Fern for winning the Adams Derby this weekend, and to Sue Taylor and Mary Shaw for a 1st & 2nd respectively in G6 Jumping at PADS. I also want to say a huge well done to Dave Russell and Cae for their many recent successes including a Gold Medal at WAO in Belgium. A fantastic achievement. My students are doing me proud this season. Keep up the good work.
